Background

Ed was born and raised in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in 1985. He graduated magna cum laude from Grove City College in 1989 with a dual major in History and Political Science and a minor in Economics. Ed then graduated from Akron University Law School in 1992. After graduating from law school, Ed moved back to his hometown of Meadville. He subsequently passed the Pennsylvania Bar Examination and has been licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania since 1993.

He is a past President of the Crawford County Bar Association.
He is an approved real estate attorney with First American Title Guaranty Company.
Ed is an active member of the Meadville YMCA.

Areas of Practice

Ed’s preference is practicing law in his home county of Crawford County. His preference is based upon his experience, knowledge, and comfort level of working with the Crawford County Judges, Magistrates, District Attorneys Office, local attorneys, and court system for over 28 years.

He actively practices in the areas of family law (divorce, custody, support, adoption, and protection from abuse), criminal defense (representing clients charged with crimes), real estate (buying and selling of residential and commercial properties), estate planning (wills, power of attorneys, living wills) and estate administration (probate process after a person has passed away). Ed has over 25 years of experience in these areas. He has extensive trial and

litigation experience.

He works with attorney Brian J. Lindsay. Brian has over 35 years of experience practicing law. Ed and Brian routinely discuss complex cases with each other in order to make sure that the strategy selected for a client is the right one. Their office is located just a short walk from the Crawford County Judicial Center, Crawford County Courthouse, the City Magistrate’s Office, and the Crawford County Domestic Relations Section. Their office is also located near many banks within the City of Meadville, which is convenient for real estate closings.

Business Hours

Although the law firm’s regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Ed routinely meets with clients prior to 8:30 a.m. and past 5:00 p.m. in order to accommodate their work schedule. Ed frequently meets with clients from starting as early as 7:00 a.m. as well as from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as he is aware that it is difficult for clients to miss work in order to attend meetings with their attorney.
